FONT NOTES Font of circular straight sided bowl with shallow carved decoration partly hacked away, of interlacing and headed arches with open flowers in roundels above, moulded necking, on late 19th century stem and moulded base; in the top of the bowl the remains of fastening for a cover - since removed and repaired. This font is similar to the smaller font originally found in the Church of the Holy Trinity at nearby Turners Puddle but today found in the Church of St. Lawrence at Affpuddle. Another font with carved decoration partly hacked away can be found at Litton Cheney. |
